King Kong Min Tomb
Kaesong (Gaeseong), Hamgyongnam-Do Province
In Kaesong approximately 2.1 mi./3.5 km. north of the Nam (South) Gate is the tomb of King Kong Min (877-943 AD), the founder of the Koryo dynasty. Kong Min was also called Wang Kon, Wang Gon, and Taejo. The tomb was rebuilt in 1994 to mark the 1,117th anniversary of the King’s birth.
