Hallasan is the highest peak in South Korea at 6,400ft and makes for a beautiful day hike. The volcanic mountain has flora and fauna unique to Korea, many of which are endangered. The streams and waterfalls that roll off the mountain are clear and refreshing. It dominates most of the island, and at its base lies rich fields, charming villages, and luxurious hotels on white, sandy beaches. |
