Itaewon is a special tourism zone filled with shopping, foreign cuisine, and nightlife. The sidewalk is full of street stalls loaded with accessories, T-shirts, and souvenirs. Various ethnic restaurants dot the area. German, Mexican, Indian, Swiss, Pakistani, Thai, and Japanese cuisine are all readily available.
At night Itaewon is popular with both foreigners and locals for its nightlife. Street carts serve inexpensive but delicious food and drinks in front of karaoke lounges, night clubs, and jazz bars.
